The Meyer family held their 141st big five-year family reunion recently at St. John's Parish Hall in Okarche, with 120 people attending the event.
Clifford Meyer shared a poem about the Meyer family. Florene Tipton updated family members about new business. Laurnell Lenz read the coat of arms.
Special recognition was given to Dolores Meyer, who helped make this year's reunion possible, and to Clifford Meyer, who took the time to make all copies of the updates.
As is tradition, the next reunion will be held in five years. Brandi Krittenbrink volunteered to help with the food, invitations and location. Crystal Mayo will be doing the updates, and Laurnell Lenz volunteered to take over as treasurer for the Meyer family.
