El Reno man dies in accident
An El Reno man died Saturday night after the pickup he was riding in rolled twice when it veered off Interstate 40, police said.
John Parrish Ricci, 44, died at the scene of massive head injuries, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was riding in a 2002 Ford pickup, being driven by Warren Ben Condulle, 38.
Police said the pickup truck was traveling east on I-40 in Caddo County, one-half mile east of mile marker 88, when it ran off the inside rumble strips. The driver overcorrected, police said, and the vehicle ran off to the right side of the road, rolling twice.
Condulle was taken by helicopter to OU Medical Center with internal injuries and is listed in stable condition, police said.
Reports show the cause of the accident is still under investigation, and the driver’s condition is not known. Police said both were wearing seat belts but airbags did not deploy.
