A half dozen subjects were tossed about like political footballs when U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Muskogee, took tours last week of Fort Reno USDA Grazinglands Research Station and El Reno Federal Correctional Institution.

A year-end audit showing Parkview Hospital increased its assets earned its chief operating officer an $8,131 incentive bonus.
The one-time bonus is in addition to Administrator Lex Smith’s annual $120,000 plus benefits and car allowance.

Hospital auditors show Parkview Hospital went in the red $565,000 on its ambulance service for the 12-month period ending June 30, but despite that loss the hospital made a slight profit.
