EHS opens volleyball drills with intense skills workouts

With one of the most successful junior college programs in the Bi-State Conference sitting in its own back yard, El Reno High School head coach Kristen Reeves opted for a different approach to the first day of volleyball drills.

Instead of reviewing basic fundamentals for the first days of fall drills, Reeves asked Redlands Community College head coach Kristin Vincent to put on a two-day team camp aimed at learning skills taught past the high school level.

ER opens fall drills with full softball roster

With the various summer national tournaments in softball concluding earlier than normal this season, El Reno High School head coach Lynetta Keller opened drills with an unusual benefit Monday night - her entire team present.

“We’re going to have two weeks to prepare for the season with everyone here, which is something that has not happened in years,“ Keller said, who begins her fourth season at the helm of the Indians program. “That’s going to give us plenty of time to get everything done and be set to go.”

MIDWEST CITY – While a 22-point loss is not the way Ethan Davis envisioned ending his high school career, the Calumet guard can find peace in one fact – it could have been worse.
