Indians struggle in first tests of seasonBy Rex Hogan/Staff Writer The first three games of the young El Reno High School baseball season haven’t gone as well as coach Jason Looper had hoped. The Indians lost two of the first three games they played. Opponents scored a total of 28 runs in the three games. “Actually, our pitching wasn’t that bad,” Looper said. “Our pitchers have been good enough to keep us in games, but we’re making a lot of errors. We have to start playing better defensively,” he said. The Indians have some time to get better. They play a 22-game schedule, and will play in three tournaments. EHS won its first game of the season Saturday here against Piedmont. |
