El Reno High School’s boys basketball team hasn’t played a game since Dec. 18, but that will change Friday and Saturday when the Indians go on the road to play back-to-back conference games.

The 5-2 overall and 14th-ranked Indians will travel to Western Heights for a Suburban Conference game on Friday and then will take on 10th-ranked Deer Creek on the Antlers home court Saturday.

The rankings for the two schools are the latest in the Class 5A Oklahoma coaches poll.

The games will be two of six straight road games on the Indians schedule.

Both are crucial conference games for El Reno, which is 2-1 in conference play and 1-0 in the Western Division.

Coach Rodney Haydon said his team is ready to resume its winning ways.
