Tom Cobble among three finalists for El Reno head football jobBy Glen Miller/Staff Writer The man that helped put El Reno High School on the Oklahoma football map could once again be walking the sidelines of Memorial Stadium. Tom Cobble is one of three finalists for the head football coaching vacancy at EHS along with current assistant athletic director Pat Liticker and former Broken Arrow assistant coach and Mustang native Stephen “Bubba” Burcham. “These are the three names we are taking to the school board and they will interview them,” El Reno athletic director Rocky Carter said. “We feel very comfortable with any three of these men being in charge of our program.” All three candidates will be interviewed Monday night. The El Reno position has been open since early December when Dal Nichols resigned after four seasons with a 21-21 overall record but coming off a 3-7 campaign in 2007. |
