It’s official. Tom Cobble is back as the El Reno High School football coach.

The El Reno Board of Education on Friday voted unanimously to hire Cobble, who has been the football coach at Class 6A Enid for the past five years.

Cobble said there remained a few details of his teaching contract to be worked out.

Cobble said Monday that he and El Reno Superintendent Ranet Tippens talked during the weekend and ironed out his teaching contract.

Cobble met Monday afternoon with about 55 Indians football players.
