Many varieties of spring flowers and vegetable plants will be sold Monday through Wednesday inside the greenhouse at Canadian Valley Technology Center.

The annual plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the greenhouse, located directly east of Building 200. Ample parking is available south of the building.

Hundreds of annuals, perennials and vegetable plants will be featured. The plants are grown as part of a horticulture unit in the school’s Hospitality and Retail Services program. Proceeds will be used to grow more plants next year.

Attendees can look into career possibilities, explore four-year college transfer options and meet representatives from local, state and national business and industry.

Members of Redlands Community College Student Nursing Association will work for tips at El Reno’s Sonic on Thursday.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., RCC nursing students and select nursing faculty members will serve as carhops in an effort to raise funds for the student organization.

Association members work together to combine professional development opportunities with instruction and community service.

Gary Kurpius, national commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, will visit El Reno VFW Post 382 on Thursday as part of his 15-city tour of the state.

During his tour, Kurpius will brief local VFW posts on the progress of the organization’s grass-roots efforts to increase Veterans Administration funding and to provide sufficient long-term VA health care.

Kurpius is a Vietnam Army veteran. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze service stars and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
