Ellison Avenue United Methodist Church will hold its annual chicken noodle dinner and bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The church is located at 600 S. Ellison Avenue.

The dinner includes homemade chicken and noodles, baked beans, nine-day slaw, a roll and dessert for $6.50.

A community Route 66 meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday in the County Commissioners Chambers, 201 N. Choctaw.

The public is invited to this meeting to help develop a strategy for preserving and promoting Route 66 in El Reno as well as coordinating El Reno Route 66 activities.

Two singing groups of Youngs will combine their talents during a concert of gospel music on Sunday at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1505 W. Elm. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. and will consist of mostly southern gospel music with a few church hymns included.

The Young Brothers Trio features twins, John Jo and Waldo Young, and their brother, Homer Young. Homer and Waldo formerly sang with the Ministers Quartet for 43 years.
