Two men have been arraigned on charges stemming from a car theft and abduction from Lucky Star Casino.

Douglas Allen Gray, 49, of Kingfisher was arraigned Thursday before Canadian County District Judge Gary McCurdy on “child neglect and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a child,” according to Mike Gahan, the county’s assistant district attorney. The substance charge was added for possession of methamphetamine, Gahan said.

Prosecutors say Gray left his granddaughter, Alysia Lopez, 3, sleeping in his truck early Oct. 22 while he went inside the casino. The vehicle was stolen from the parking lot and later found at I-40 and Peebly Road with the child still sleeping inside, according to reports from the Canadian County Sheriff’s Department. The child was later placed in state custody.

Bail was set at $10,000, Gahan said. Gray posted bond, and a preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 14.

On Wednesday, Daniel Lee Green, 29, of Jones, was arraigned before Judge Robert Davis on charges of “kidnapping and larceny of an auto,” Gahan said.
