A workshop on strength-based interventions with at-risk youth is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 16 at Redlands Community College Multi-media Conference Center. Conducting the workshop will be Scott Larson, president and founder of Straight Ahead Ministries, an international faith-based organization working with juvenile offenders in more than 400 detention centers in 15 states. Larson is an adjunct professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Semi-nary’s Center for Urban Ministerial Education. The workshop will give practical methods of turning destructive patterns into positive opportunities for change, and is sponsored by Safe Schools/Healthy Families, Canadian County Coalition for Children and Families, RCC, Children’s Justice Center and the Cheyenne-Arapaho RESPECT Program.
