Redlands Community College will host the annual Canadian County Health Fair on March 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in RCC’s Conference Center. There is no charge for the informational portion, and it’s open to the public. Information on nutrition, exercise and more will be presented, and participants can be tested for anemia and have their vital signs checked at no charge. An optional blood chemistry screening also will be available for $15 per person. The screening, which normally costs about $200, will test for electrolyte levels, cholesterol, glucose, liver enzymes and red and white blood cell counts. Those participating should fast for at least 12 hours beforehand. The fair is sponsored by Parkview Hospital, Aging Services of Canadian County, the Canadian Valley Red Cross, RCC and the 2007 RCC nursing class. For more information, contact RCC’s Nursing Department at (405) 262-2552 Ext. 2514.
