The second annual Piedmont Pie Festival is set for May 12. This year the contest will be held the day before Mother’s Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Piedmont Preservation Society is hosting the pie festival as a fund-raiser for the Piedmont Old Town district. Monies raised will go toward the preservation and promotion of this area. The pie contest will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Piedmont Baptist Church, with music, food and crafts throughout the downtown area. The pie contest is awarding prizes and money worth over $1,000 this year with 12 pie categories available. All are welcome to this official Oklahoma centennial event.
