Union City Public Schools is preparing for the 2007-2008 school year, and is asking all 4-year-olds and new kindergarten students to pre-enroll. Those presently enrolled in Union City Public Schools do not need to enroll.
Enrollment is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Union City Elementary School.
Parents should bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization record and Social Security card. For those who do not have access to these documents, they should enroll anyway, however, the documents will be needed before the child starts school in August.
A child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible to attend the 4-year-old program this fall and a child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible to attend the kindergarten class.
