Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church of El Reno will hold its second annual rodeo May 12 at the Canadian County fairgrounds. Parade lineup is at Adams Park with the parade beginning at 1 p.m. and the rodeo getting under way at 3 p.m. Free parking and concessions will be available. Events will include bareback bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, bull riding, ladies barrel racing and ranch bronc riding, along with junior barrel racing and mutton busting. Contestant bookings will begin May 7 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. or until full. To schedule bookings, contact Charlene Anderson at (405) 282-4747. Trophies will be handed out for best-dressed riding club, riding club with the most youth, club traveling the farthest distance, best-dressed queen, best band and best car club.
