Billings, Dirl E. (paid)
Funeral services for Dirl E. Billings of El Reno will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at First Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Richard Frachiser and Rev. Don Southard officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Billings died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Parkview Hospital. He was born May 15, 1944, in Nine Pines, Okla. He was a retired roofer, machinist and had worked in timber, as a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, groundskeeper and trucker. He married Emma Lea Maly on Dec. 17, 1966, in Midwest City. Dirl was a member of First Pentecostal Church of God, Kingsmen Fellowship, Order of the Arrow for Boy Scouts, a Scoutmaster, a member of the Western Fraternal Lodge No.69, Eagles No.220 and a baseball coach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Ella Mae (Hayslip) Billings, sisters, Vera Opal Harper, Willie Luzetta Yandell and Viola Opal Harper, and brothers, Orbie Dion Yandell and Andrew Yandell.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Lea Billings of the home; five sons, Cliffton Billings and wife, Amy, Paul Billings, Kenneth Billings and wife, LueAnn, and Adam Billings, all of El Reno, and Randy Billings of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Teresa Richards of El Reno; brother, Freddie Billings and wife, Jane, and sister, Rosetta Mixon, all of Choctaw; 16 grandchildren, Hope Shay Richards, Zakary and Nicole Billings, Andrew and Alex Clements, Josh Mansfield, Justin and Dustin Ashley, Tyler and Kyler Billings, Brittney and Stazie Vieweg, Amber Collins, Clint and Trent Delaware and Skylar Gretlein; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Collins, Felicity Gordon, Destiny Delaware, Christopher Delaware and Abagail Delaware; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Johnson, Lois
Funeral services for Lois Elizabeth Johnson will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hinton-Turner Chapel with Laron Branson, Doug Murray and LaVerne Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Hinton Cemetery under direction of Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson died Monday at the Geary Community Nursing Home. She was born June 7, 1919, in Piedmont. She had lived in the Greenfield area since 1940.

She is survived by daughters, Sue Landreth of Watonga and Linda Anderson of Oklahoma City; brother, Jack Dickson of Clinton; sister, Ruth Dickson of Puerto Rico; five grand- children and seven great-grandchildren.

Johnson, Marguerite 'Marky' (paid)
Marguerite Helen (Webster) Johnson, known by her friends and family as “Markie,” passed away Jan. 1, 2006, in her home at the age of 81. A lifelong resident of El Reno, it was here that Markie graduated from Sacred Heart High School, married and raised her family.

Though she spent much of her life caring for her family, her loving spirit flowed over into other parts of her life. Markie was employed as the activities director at Sunset Estates Nursing Center for several years and served as a volunteer for Mobile Meals during the 1990s. She was also an active member of Ellison Avenue United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Markie, known for her tender heart and melodious laughter, will be dearly missed by those surviving her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. and Helen M. Fry, and three brothers, Soden Fry, Robert Fry and LeRoy Fry.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Johnson of the home, and her son, Jud Everett Webster and wife, Linda of El Reno.

Markie is further survived by three grandchildren, Christy Ritchie and husband, Judon of Deer Creek, Darin Webster and wife, Jessica of Austin, Texas, and Robin Gibson and husband, Ben of Choctaw. Markie was also the great-grandmother to Morgan Ritchie and Jake Webster.
A memorial service will be held at Ellison Avenue United Methodist Church, 600 S. Ellison, on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Markie’s name to the church.

Mattox, Rosa Nell
Graveside services for Rosa Nell Mattox, formerly of Oklahoma City, were held Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, in the Calumet Cemetery with Rev. Darin Hedrick of Messiah Ministries Church in Oklahoma City officiating. Services were under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Rosa died Dec. 29, 2005, in Porum. She was born Sept. 3, 1925, in Sharon to her parents, Elmer Dierking and Stella Belle (Wilson) Tishhart. She grew up in Clarksville, Ark. Later she moved to Oklahoma City where she lived for many years before moving to Porum. Mrs. Mattox had worked in the peanut fields in irrigation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Clyde Mattox, brother, Charlie Dierking, and sister, Bessie Kuger.

She is survived by daughters, Bonnie Likins and husband, David of Porum and Betty Bean and husband, Ronald of Stigler; sister, Lula Mae Griggs of Calumet; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
