Lincoln Elementary will host its first Fun Run on Thursday beginning at 1:30 p.m. The run will begin in the Lincoln parking lot and proceed north on Keith to Watts, east on Watts to Bickford, south on Bickford to Jenkins, west on Jenkins to Evans, north on Evans to Watts, west on Watts to Keith and south back to the parking lot. Students in third through fifth grades will participate in the run, and have trained for five minutes every day and for 15 minutes one day a week for the past six months in their physical education class time. All students have passed the 25-mile mark with some students excelling past the 60-mile mark. The El Reno Police Department will help with security during the run, along with teachers running or riding along.
