Billinger, Estes Jr.
Graveside services with full military honors for Estes Blackwood “Bill” Billinger Jr. of Anderson, Mo., were held Monday at New Bethel Cemetery west of Anderson with Michael Mahoney officiating. Services were under direction of Ozark Funeral Home.

Mr. Billinger died June 7 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Mo. He was born April 8, 1931, in Los Angeles, and his family moved to El Reno during his childhood. He served in the Navy from 1948 until 1967. He also worked for over 17 years for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, 11 years spent in Springfield, Mo. He moved to Anderson in 1991 where he drove a school bus for the McDonald County School District.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home; daughters, Denise King of Anderson and Amber Kriegar of Noel, Mo.; a brother, Elmer Billinger of Rockport, Texas, and two grandchildren.

Cooksey, RJ
Word has been received of the death of former El Reno resident RJ Cooksey of Kansas City, Kan. Mr. Cooksey died Tuesday in Kansas City. Services are pending.

Cornell, Audrey Athlene Sumrall (paid)
Audrey Athlene Sumrall Cornell was born Dec. 19, 1914, in Leedy to Oklahoma pioneers, Eli Theodore and Mary Lizzie Lenora Rountree Sumrall. She was reared in Leedy and graduated from high school there. She died June 12, 2007, in Oklahoma City.

Audrey married Olan Cornell on Oct. 28, 1945, in Frederick after waiting until the end of his tour of duty during World War II. They lived in several communities before settl-ing in El Reno, where Audrey had lived for over 50 years. After attending college, she taught a few years in a small school near Altus. A trained bookkeeper, Audrey worked for many years in that profession at Stevenson’s Grocery in El Reno. Audrey was a member of First Baptist Church of El Reno and her church was very important to her. She participated in many activities, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and serving in many capacities of the Women’s Missionary Society. The MWU awarded her a certificate of appreciation for the 20 years of service to the group as their treasurer. Audrey also served her community by delivering Mobile Meals for a number of years. She was a talented seamstress and cook, treating her family at Christmas with her special Aunt Bill’s brown candy. She enjoyed various craft activities and loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Thurston Sumrall, Floyd Sumrall and Alva Sumrall; two sisters, Irma Logan and Lorene Tant; and a nephew, Glen Sumrall, who was reared by her parents.

She is survived by three nephews, James Logan of Oklahoma City, Leonard Sumrall of California and Jerry Sumrall of Green Valley, Calif.; and three nieces, Joyce Covey of Butler, Imogene (Genie) Hull of Apple Valley, Calif., and Charlene DeYong of Oklahoma City; and a niece-in-law, Linda Journigan of Altus.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Chapman officiating. Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery.

Pinkston, Cora Ann
Funeral services for Cora Ann (Humphrey) Pinkston were held Tuesday at Minco First Baptist Church with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery. Services were under direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pinkston died Saturday in Oklahoma City. She was born Jan. 24, 1920, in Minco. She worked on the family dairy farm for 63 years. She was a member, former clerk and teacher at Minco First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne of the home; her children, Dawan Pinkston of Minco, Wiley Pinkston of Oklahoma City and Lawanda Butler of Edmond; a brother, Burl of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Price, Louis K. Jr.
Funeral services for Louis K. Price Jr. of Yukon will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Price died today at Integris Baptist Medical Center. He was born Aug. 24, 1946.

Rice, Francis G.
A memorial service for Francis G. Rice will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church with Rev. Barney Jackson officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Rice died June 4, 2007, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Rutland, Vt., the son of Gardnier Francis and Cecelia Alice (Lassor) Rice. He moved to Union City in 1974. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired federal employee and computer programming instructor at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City and a member of Christ Memorial Episcopal Church.

He married Dorothy Jean Plummer on April 9, 1950. Dorothy survives him in death.

He is also survived by a son, Richard Rice and wife, Doreen of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Charlotte Maazouz and husband, Martin Mueller of Kansas City, Mo., and Frances Jean Boullouse and husband, Earl McCaskill of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Shirley Ann Small of Merrimack, N.H.; seven grandchildren, Shaun Lee Long, Melissa Jean Coker, Angelina Marie Barnes, Marcia Sims, Ricky Lee Rice, Jacob Matthew Rice and Earl McCaskill; and six great-grandchildren, Krista Nicole Long, Tiffany Rachel Long, Alaura Ann Barnes, Elizabeth Charlotte Barnes, Talisha Coker and Curry Coker.

Rogers, Dale (paid)
Visitation for Dale Rogers of El Reno will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Dale at this time.

Dale was born April 28, 1934, and passed from this life on June 10, 2007, at Integris Baptist Medical Center. He was a lifetime El Reno area resident and graduate of El Reno High School. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie M. Rogers and Mildred A. Forbes, and his stepfather, Allen K. Forbes.

Survivors include his sister, Sherry Rogers Andrade and husband, Michael of Los Gatos, Calif.; a nephew, Randy Andrade and wife, Cathy of San Jose, Calif.; a great-nephew, Cameron Andrade of San Jose. Other relatives include Jimmy and Eileen Gilbert, Jim and Marilyn Kinnaman, Margaret and Dennis Farmer, Martha and Ben Fast, Mary and Tim Lankford, Dee and Betty Gilbert, Michelle Steele and husband, Bill Folsom, Vicki Kindred and Ryan Steele; and a special companion, Bonnie Immel and her family, Randy Immel, Sandy, Gary, Paul and Danielle Clayton, and Randa and husband, Jason McMinn; and other special friends including Leo Shaw, Max Bain, Ann Smith and Herman and Gayle Meinberg; and numerous other friends.
