Stage Door Inc. of Yukon will hold auditions July 14 for “The Sound of Music,” its first production of the season. Youths will try out from 9 a.m. until noon and adults from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those with scheduling conflicts can also audition at 7 p.m. July 13. Callbacks will be held at 2 p.m. July 15. Everyone is invited to audition for the 23-plus member cast, including men and women, young and old. Bring an updated resume, if applicable, and a photo, though photos will be taken during the auditions if needed. All youthful singers need to be prepared to sing 16 bars of “My Favorite Things,” all adult males, “Eidelweiss,” and adult females, “The Sound of Music.” Music will be provided. “The Sound of Music” will be presented for nine performances from Sept. 13 through Sept. 23.
