Obituaries for Jan. 18, 2006Balke, Lela Mrs. Balke died Saturday in Chickasha. She was born June 16, 1915, in Anadarko. She had lived in the Minco community since 1930. She was a rural mail carrier and had worked for Boeing Aircraft as well as a waitress and in retail sales. She was a member of Rebekah’s Lodge. She is survived by a son, Jesse Balke, and a daughter, Minnie Davis, both of Minco; a brother, Leslie Crumm of Blanchard; a sister, Wanda Ellis of Norge; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Chandler, Tina Mrs. Chandler died Thursday at her home. She was born March 11, 1956, in El Reno and was a graduate of El Reno High School. She worked as an administration specialist for Halliburton Industry in Pocasset and was a member of the Stephen King’s Twisted Sisters and Fan Club. She is survived by her husband, Earl of the home; a daughter, Angie Merrell of Pocasset; brothers, Jerry Long of Oklahoma City and Kim Long of Whitaker, Calif.; a sister, Sharon Long of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren. Mitchell, Daryl Mr. Mitchell died Friday in Minco. He was born April 2, 1959, in Meridian, Texas, and was reared in Glen Rose, Texas. He came to Minco in 1995. He worked as a project manager for AAR aircraft mechanics firm in Oklahoma City and attended Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; sons, Joshua Russell of Springfield, Mo., Drew Russell of El Reno and Joseph Mitchell of the home; daughters, Amber Tanmongkolswat of Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Mitchell and Brandi Mitchell, both of the home; his father, Glen Mitchell of Glen Rose; his mother and stepfather, Paulene and Kenneth Price of Granbury, Texas; a brother, Terry Mitchell of Granbury; a sister, Rhonda Rodriguez of Sherman, Texas; and six grandchildren. Sams, Marjorie Ms. Sams died today at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. Schumacher, Lewis William (paid) Mr. Schumacher died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Silverlake Care Center in Bartlesville. He was born Oct. 18, 1927, in rural northeast El Reno to his parents, William Frederick and Ida (Liebscher) Schumacher. He was a lifetime El Reno area resident and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Schumacher was a retired rural mail carrier from the U.S. Postal Service, and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Lillie Mae Porter of Bartlesville; nieces, Janet R. Paynter of Ponca City and Sharon G. Sullivan and husband, Mike of Carrollton, Texas; great-niece, Chelsea Paynter; great-nephews, Jason Paynter, Mitchell Sullivan and Matthew Sullivan; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family suggests memorials be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 2904 E. 150th Street NE OKC, El Reno, Okla. 73036. |
