Obituaries for Jan. 22Bayne, Nellie J. (paid) Mrs. Bayne died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, in Dallas. She was born May 20, 1924, in El Reno, to Scott Paul and Maria Anna (Podvolecky) Under-wood. She graduated from El Reno High School with the class of 1942. She was an instructor for illiterate reading classes. She worked for Southwestern Bell in Lawton and Oklahoma City before she retired. She married Robert J. Bayne on May 4, 1947, in El Reno. He died Sept. 20, 1971. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Ann Thomas and husband, Ronald of Richardson, Texas, and Peggy Hoard of San Antonio, Texas; a grandson, Brandon Thomas and wife, Audra of McKinney, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, a sister and a niece. Manley, Opal She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Morrow, Bobby Mr. Morrow died Jan. 16. He was born Aug. 10, 1940, in the Norwood community. He worked in construction and farming. He was president of the board of trustees of Norwood Cemetery and member of Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association and United Methodist Church in Wedington. He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; 10 children, Joe Morrow and Wayne Morrow, both of El Reno, Chris Morrow of Eagle Rock, Mo., Michele Calhoun of Anderson, Mo., Gayla LeMeilleur of Lafayette, La., JoAnn Roberts and William Morrow, both of Siloam Springs, Michael Morrow of Wichita, Kan., Bobbi McMurry of Halstead, Kan., and Tommi Consentino of Peoria, Ariz.; brothers, Tom Morrow of Siloam Springs and Larry Morrow of Catoosa; sisters, LaVerta Daily of Hackett and Pam Lenard of Arlington, Texas; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Moss, Roy Mr. Moss died Jan. 15 in Oklahoma City. He was born July 27, 1946, in Tulsa. He was raised in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1954. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He moved to Houston in 1969 where he worked as a buyer for Baroid oil field services for 12 years. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1983 and worked as a journey pressman for 22 years and owned and operated Forrest-Rose Productions in Oklahoma City. He was a member of Manger Baptist Church in Tulsa and was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Yukon Masonic Lodge, member of the Sportsman’s Club of Oklahoma City and Bow Hunting Council of Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Marilynn of the home; a son, Randy Moss, and a daughter, Jana Davison, both of Oklahoma City; brothers, Lee Jenkins of Seminole and Don Moss of Bristow; sisters, Alice Stone of Sapulpa and Dianne Haile of Kellyville; and seven grandchildren. Roblyer, Paul Russell, Larry H. Mr. Russell died Friday at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. He was born Nov. 17, 1941, in the Harold-Meridian community. He was a 1960 graduate of Rush Springs High School. He moved to Minco in 1989 from Canadian, Texas. He was a tool pusher in the oil fields for many years and worked at the Coffee Cup Café in Minco. He was a member of First Reformed Presbyterian Church. He is survived by daughters, Sherry Marti of Lamar, Mo., Diane St. John of Sanger, Texas, and Cheryl Voyles of Gainesville, Texas; a sister, Shirley Monroe of Amber; and six grandchildren. Sams, Marjorie (paid) Ms. Sams died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 26, 1926, in El Reno to her parents, Dillard J. and Carolyn (Hadley) Sams. She spent most of her life living in El Reno and graduated from El Reno High School. She received a bachelor’s of arts degree at Oklahoma College for Women and a master’s degree at Northern Illinois University. She taught at Ohio University, OSU and Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. She returned to El Reno where she taught at El Reno High School from 1961-1962 and Etta Dale Junior High School from 1973-1986. She taught American Red Cross swimming. She joined Wesley United Methodist Church in 1937, was a member of United Methodist Women, Delta Psi Kappa and Canadian County Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, D.J. and Carolyn Sams, a nephew, Steve Sams, and sister-in-law, Dora Sams. She is survived by her brother, John Hadley Sams of Lompoc, Calif.; niece, Susan Judy and husband, Bill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; great-nieces, Sara Trejo and husband, Joe, and Micelle Judy, all of Colorado Springs; and a great-great-nephew, Anthony Trejo. The family has suggested memorials be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 101 S. Barker, El Reno, Okla. 73036. |
