El Reno High School’s boys basketball team shot a combined 7-of-45 from the field in a 42-22 loss to Guthrie Friday.

“This is by far the worst game I’ve ever coached,” El Reno head coach Rodney Haydon said.
“My job is to get us into an offense where we can be successful. I didn’t make good decisions, and that cost us.”

The Indians were led by Jared Krittenbrink, with five points.

Season leader Corey Standerfer and freshman Fayzon Richey each scored four.

Ben Mauldin tossed in three points, and Jordan Webb, Glenn Wedman and Eric Palmer each had two points.

“We are not a three-point shooting team, and we were 3-of-17 from the three-point line,” Haydon said.

“I can’t let that happen. I know what our strengths are, and I can’t let them go out and shoot 17 three-pointers.”
