The annual Fort Reno firing of the guns will usher in Christmas on Sunday afternoon on the parade grounds.

The fort will be open to visitors from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Historic re-enactors will present the annual salute to the Christmas holidays on the old post parade grounds. Afterward, the festivities will move to the chapel where children will be greeted by Santa Claus and will be treated to snacks, hot chocolate, coffee, mulled cider and more. Visitors will also be entertained by old-time story-telling and the musical talents of local folks. Donors can vie for door prizes and a beautiful handmade quilt.
