Mandy Winton, president of the Oklahoma Young Democrats, will speak at the Canadian County Democrats first meeting of the year Tuesday night.

That meeting is set for 7 p.m. at Canadian Valley Technology Center, 6505 E. Highway 66 between Yukon and El Reno.

Winton says she has been involved in politics since 2000, when she walked into the state party headquarters by herself on election day. She has worked in the party ever since, becoming Oklahoma Young Democrats president in 2006.
