Canadian Valley Technology Center will help area eighth-graders sort through their choices during Career Quest on Thursday night.

The event is aimed at El Reno and Yukon students and is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the tech center’s El Reno campus at 6505 E. Highway 66. Most area schools are offering students extra credit for attending.

The evening will include more than two dozen area business and vendor booths in Building 100 along with refreshments, free prize drawings, free hair treatments and more. The El Reno Cruisers will have classic cars on display along with new cars such as the Dodge Viper. The Reality Store is an interactive career and budget exhibit that helps students choose a lifestyle and then the career that can support it.

Both students and their families are invited. Students can enter at the main canopy entrance below the school’s “CV” logo and will receive a Career Quest Passport when they arrive. That passport serves as the entry form that qualifies students for drawings and extra credit.
