April 29 through 30: Head Start enrollmentApr 30 2008 - 11:40am The Opportunities Inc. Head Start program is taking applications for enrollment at the El Reno Head Start Center, 500 N. Admire, on April 29 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and April 30 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Parents or guardians must bring verification of income such as W-2 form, 1040, a current TANF card, three current consecutive paycheck stubs or an employer’s statement. The child’s Social Security number and birth certificate will also be required. The Head Start program is for 3- and 4-year-old children whose families meet federal income guidelines and for children with disabilities. A screening committee will review all applications. The criteria for enrollment will be used to determine children to be enrolled. Children selected for enrollment must have documentation that their immunizations are up to date or be in the process of getting them. Parents enrolling their children in a public school 4-year-old program may also choose to submit an application to be enrolled in Head Start.
