Ledbetter, Frances Oleta (paid)
Funeral services for Frances Oleta “Nancy” Ledbetter were held Monday, April 10, 2006, at John Ireland Funeral Home in Moore with Rev. Russ Dyer officiating. Burial was in the Moore Cemetery.

Ms. Ledbetter died April 7, 2006, at Kindred Care Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born March 21, 1926, to Sarah Edmind Reed and Arvil Keen Ledbetter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters and their spouses.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Vieweg and two lovely grandchildren, Chandon and Lyndzee Vieweg, and a nephew, Dale Bynum and wife, Sandra, all of El Reno; sister and brother-in-law, Joretta and Jerry Doyle of Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Shirley Ledbetter of Point Blank, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, also, great-nieces and great-nephews and a whole lot of friends just too numerous to mention.

She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Malone, Lylis I. (paid)
Funeral services for Lylis I. Malone will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 17 in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenny Violette officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Malone died April 14, 2006, at Meeker Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 2, 1937, at Greens Run, Ohio. She was a former resident of El Reno before moving to the Wellson area.
She was a homemaker and life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She married Peanut Malone in 1954. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1990.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mary (Draper) Mount; a brother, sister, granddaughter and grandson.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Lorri Malone of Wellston, Andrew and Terri Malone of Stroud, Verlin Ray Malone of Perry and Arthur Jr. “Skip” and Sue Malone of Fall River, Mass.; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Mike Wilson of Luther and Mary Beth and Tom Russell of Malta, Ohio; brothers, Bill Mount and Vernon “Buddy” Mount, both of Marion, Ohio; sisters, Kay Wilson and Mary Goins, both of Malta, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Rowland, Kenneth
Graveside services for Kenneth Gene Rowland were held Saturday in the Sunset Cemetery in Geary with Rev. Tony Moore officiating. Services were under direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Mr. Rowland was born June 4, 1928, in Geary. He died Thursday at the Alterra Sterling House in Oklahoma City. He lived and farmed in the Geary area most of his life. He was a Korean Air Force veteran and worked for Canadian County as a truck driver, retiring in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, June of Hydro; a daughter, Anna Rowland Penrod of Geary; a stepson, John Brewer of Lake Worth, Fla.; and a sister, Kay Robinson of Geary.

Thomas, Beatrice R. (paid)
Beatrice “Bea” Thomas of El Reno, daughter of William and Rhoda Sessions Rolison, was born March 8, 1921, in Butler, and passed away April 14, 2006.

Bea was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Berean Sunday School class where she enjoyed participating in the women’s circle meetings and the prayer chain. Bea was also a longtime volunteer with Mobile Meals.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Aude E. Thomas.

She is survived by her son, A.J. Thomas of El Reno; a daughter, Auda Marie Thomas of Harrah; sisters, Kathryn Province of North Hollywood, Calif., Mary Ellen Bates of Custer City, Okla., Rose Patocka of Enid and Billie Lax of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Services, under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in El Reno with viewing beginning at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at 3:15 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.

Winchester, Jackson W.
Funeral services for former El Reno resident Jackson W. Winchester of Clinton will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Butch Ward officiating.

Burial with military honors will be held in the Union City Cemetery.

Mr. Winchester died April 13 at Clinton Veterans Center. He was born Oct. 24, 1950, in Union City. He lived in California as a child. He was retired from the Army after 20 years of service and was a lifetime member of the VFW and former member of the American Legion. Mr. Winchester attended the Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Jones Winchester of the home; his mother, Esther Mae (Waller) Vreska of Victorville, Calif.; a son, Jason Winchester of Brandenburg, Ky.; four stepsons, Scott Dowling of Brandenburg, Bryan Locke of Irving, Texas, Terry Locke of Tecumseh and Ben Locke Jr. of El Reno; three stepdaughters, Marci Dowling of Cleveland, Ohio, Deanna Thompson of El Reno and Larina Schaekel of Tuttle; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wynes, Charles (paid)
Charles Wynes has departed this world and is with his heavenly Father. Charles passed away on Monday, March 27, 2006, in Ponca City. He was owner of Hall and Wynes Carpet in Tulsa.

Charles was a graduate of El Reno High School and during that time he was quarterback of the football team and a guard on the basketball team which won the state championship his senior year. For his efforts, he was named to the Oklahoma All State football and basketball teams, achieving honors that no other El Reno High School student-athlete has accomplished since. After graduation, Charles attended the University of Florida on a football scholarship and played quarterback from 1953 to 1957.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Carole; his parents, Elzie and Roxie Wynes; and sisters, Betty Yirak and Patricia Roberts.

Survivors include his son, Gerald and wife, Vicki and grandchildren, Payton and Jenna of Ponca City; a brother, James (Tim) Wynes and wife, Mary Lou of Dolores, Colo.; a sister, Mary Garner and husband, Richard of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews including Tim Roberts, wife, Debra, and son, Caleb of El Reno.
