Blagowsky, L.T. (paid)
Funeral services for L.T. Blagowsky of El Reno will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Francis Snodgrass officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Blagowsky died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Weatherford to Pete and Edith (Stuteville) Blagowsky. He was proud to serve his country in the Army during World War II. He was an appliance serviceman for several years before his retirement. He married Lillian Louise Ruckman in Shawnee. They were married 43 years before she died in May 2001.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Louise Blagowsky; parents, Pete and Edith Blagowsky; a brother, George Blagowsky; and a sister, Velma Blagowsky.

He is survived by his stepson, James E. Garrett Jr. and wife, Eva of El Reno; grandsons, James E. Garrett III and wife, Ann of Arlington, Texas, and Joey Garrett and wife, Tammy; great-grandchildren, Brianna Garrett, Zackery Garrett, Zane Garrett and Kaydee Garrett; brothers, Udell H. Blagowsky and wife, Dean of Tulsa and Bobby L. Blagowsky and wife, Peggy of Cement.

Cook, Joan Barbara
Memorial services for Joan Barbara “Jodi” Cook of El Reno were held Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Joyce Thomason of First Christian Church officiating.

Mrs. Cook died Tuesday at Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in Yukon. She was born March 4, 1935, in Cranston, R.I. She had resided in Oklahoma since 1970 and was a registered nurse for many years.

She is survived by daughters, Vicki Schoonover of Maple Valley, Wash., and JoAnn DeVore of El Reno; sons, Robert Mollohan of El Reno, Greg Mollohan of Mustang and Richard Cook of Issaquah, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Gleichman, George F. (paid)
Funeral services for George F. Gleichman will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2006, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Okarche with Rev. David Ersland officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Gleichman, 74, of Aurora, Colo., died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the home of Ralph Gleichman of Okarche. He was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Okarche to William Gleichman and Anna Clara Biller Gleichman. He lived most of his life in the Denver area. He was an active member of two churches, Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Aurora and Calvary Lutheran Church in Yuma, Ariz.

He attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Okarche for grades first through eighth. He was a 1950 graduate of Okarche High School. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Neb., in 1959. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He taught elementary school for many years before getting into the heating and air conditioning business from which he eventually retired. In retirement he enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time at the family farm, the place he was born southwest of Okarche, and snow-birding in Yuma. But the greatest joy in his life was being with his twin grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John L. Gleichman.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Vivian Hasbrook and her husband, Edward of Oklahoma City; two grandsons, Nathan and Scott of Oklahoma City; six brothers, Donald of McAlester, Gerald of Edmond, Eldon of Champaign, Ill., Vernal of Seminole and Ralph and Larry, both of Okarche; a sister, Barbara Liebl of Loyal; Vivian’s mother, Freda Lois Gleichman of Oklahoma City; Pearl’s loving family members, Alice Harris, Lori, Keith, Alex and Andrew Bowers, Lou, Cliff, Leslie and Matthew Rossler; and multitudes of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Harsey, James J.
Prayer service for James J. Harsey was held Thursday in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at St. Joseph Church in Union City with Rev. Francis Nguyen officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors. Services were under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Harsey died Tuesday at Grace Living Center. He was born Feb. 18, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo. He moved to El Reno five years ago from Oklahoma City. He.was a cryptographer in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a pitcher for the New York Yankees farm team and was a retired financial officer with Associates Finance. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Wartchow Harsey; stepson, Michael Musshafen of Choctaw; stepdaughter, Billye McKelvey of El Reno; sister, Bernice Williams of Richland, Wash.; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
