Obituaries for May 28, 2006Allen, Irene Mrs. Allen died May 25 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Pitcher. She was a homemaker and had moved to Edmond in the early ’80s. She attended the Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her husband, Randy of the home; a daughter, Shirley Gibbons of Cedar Lake; sons, Richard Calvert of Leawood, Kan., and Larry Calvert of Guthrie; brother, Willard Gordon of Cogar; sisters, Lorraine Dixon of Willits, Calif., Evelyn Hamilton, Myrtle Hargis, Dorothy Smith and Mary Flagg, all of El Reno; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Bomhoff, Billy Albert (paid) Mr. Bomhoff died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Darlington to his parents, Bill and Juanita (Niles) Bomhoff. He was a lifelong resident of El Reno and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Billy was very proud to serve as a Merchant Marine during World War II, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Billy was honorably discharged from the service. He loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and an adoptive sister, Karen. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Pursley-Bomhoff of Chickasha, and he will be loved and missed by his nine children, Sherry Carel of Okarche, Cindy Hanes of Geary, Billy Don Bomhoff of Watonga, Melanie Statton of El Reno, Valerie Bramlett of El Reno, Denise Bomhoff of Cherokee, Cody Bomhoff of Yukon, Summer Bomhoff of Chickasha and Nikki Eakins of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Caster, Gary Family requests donations be made to cancer research. Cordray, Gladys Mrs. Cordray died Tuesday in Oklahoma City. She was born July 5, 1928, in Marshall. She had lived in Hominy since 1976. She was a graduate of Oklahoma State University. She was a retired teacher from Hominy Public Schools, member of First Christian Church and Christian Women’s Fellowship. She is survived by sons, Kent Cordray of El Reno, Tim Cordray of Hominy and Kevin Cordray of Denver; and a sister, Fredia Fadely of Grove. |
