Barger, Shirley
Shirley Joan Barger of El Reno died Monday at Sunset Estates. She was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Scott City, Kan. She was a retired real estate broker.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; a son, Terry Barger of Broken Arrow; and a daughter, Rhonda Barger of Peoria, Ariz.

No services are planned. Arrangements are under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Blagg, William
Funeral services for William M. (Bill) Blagg were held Monday at First Baptist Church of Hinton with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating.

Burial was in Red Rock Cemetery under direction of Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.

Mr. Blagg died Friday at his home in Hinton. He was born Jan. 24, 1960, in Hinton and graduated from Hinton High School in 1978. He worked at the GM Plant in Oklahoma City.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy of the home; children, Suzanne Blagg of Norman and Rachell Blagg and Tanner Blagg, both of the home; his parents, Marion and Maxine Blagg of Calumet; a sister, Tina Tech of Tulsa; a brother, John Blagg of Calumet; and one grandchild.

Clements, Dean (paid)
Dean (Gerald D.) Clements made his transition July 7, 2006, after a valiant two-month struggle against brain cancer. He was born May 16, 1940, to Eugene Edward Clements and Estella (Steater) Clements, in Bellevue, Idaho. He attended school in Richfield, Idaho, and in later years earned a B.A. from OBU. He served in the Air Force from 1963-66. Dean was in the real estate and other businesses in El Reno prior to employment with the U.S. Postal Service in Oklahoma City in 1993. He enjoyed his work and had planned to retire only when he reached the age of 70. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, joining when he was 18 and living in Idaho, and did mission duty for two years in his early 20s in Oklahoma.

Dean was a loving, warm and kind man with a great zest for life. He enjoyed (and excelled at) playing bridge and poker, he especially liked to travel.

He married Marjorie B. Tolle in August 1997, and they took several cruises, the latest being on the new Queen Mary 2. They frequently visited Las Vegas, Tunica, Miss., Louisiana and other places in the United States.

Dean knew worlds of songs, some of which must have been ancient. He had a marvelous sense of humor and could reel off dozens of jokes and stories, and his rich bass voice was a pleasure to listen to.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of the home; a brother, Richard of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Michelle Whitman of Norman; niece, Peggy Hupp and husband, Richard of Boise; niece, Lorinda Dodge and husband, John of McHenry, Ill., and numerous other nieces and nephews and their families; also, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ritch of Shreveport, La., and her son, Dr. Scott Ritch and his family; and a niece, Pam Jones and husband, Dr. Hamilton Jones and their son, Forrest, all of Denton, Texas.

Memorial gifts may be sent to a charity of your choice.

Visitation hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Smith and Kernke, 14624 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City.

Moore, Margaret Ann
Funeral services for Margaret Ann Moore of Calumet were held Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at First Christian Church of Calumet with Rev. James Inman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Okarche officiating. Burial was in the Calumet Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moore died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 25, 1930, in Dover. She was a homemaker and a longtime Canadian County area resident. Margaret Webster married Gene Moore on Sept. 9, 1959.

She was a member of the Travelers Motor Club and she loved to crochet, do crafts, her own remodeling and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Josephine (Uhlenhake) Webster; her husband, Gene Moore; a daughter, Sylvia Jo Moore; a brother, Robert Webster; and two grandsons, Michael White and Thomas Anthony Hays.

She is survived by a son, James Micheal Mayo and wife, Malinda of Calumet; six daughters, Connie White of El Reno, Marla Rickey and husband, Bill of Oklahoma City, Carla Smith of Calumet, Pamela Kost and husband, Kelly of Weatherford, Shelley Alig and husband, Ed of Okarche and Treva Carter and husband, John of Fort Lewis, Wash.; stepson, Eugene Moore and wife, Mila of Richland Hills, Texas; brothers, Charles Webster and wife, Wanda of El Reno, Harold Webster and wife, Charolette of Yukon and John Webster and wife, Dorothy of Oklahoma City; a sister, Edna Ozmun of Henderson, Nev.; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pitts, Connie Gayle (paid)
Connie Gayle (Revel) Pitts returned to the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on July 11, 2006, at the age of 41. Connie was born Aug. 28, 1964, in Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jessica Sue Ann Pitts.

She is survived by her children, Haley and Trey Foster of the home.

She is also survived by her parents, Bob and Sue Revel; brother, Doug Revel and wife, Lori; a niece, K’Leigh Revel, and a nephew, J.T. Revel and fiancée, Brittany Dial, all of El Reno.

Connie is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Wanda Revel of Carnegie.

Services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church on Friday, July 14, 2006, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Smith, Lloyd C. (paid)
Graveside services for Lloyd C. Smith were held Tuesday, July 11, in the Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Womack officiating. Services were under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith died July 7, 2006, at his home in El Reno. He was born Sept. 23, 1934, in Banner. He was a graduate of El Reno High School and an Army veteran. He worked for Suburban Home Furnishings for years and was a self-employed building contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.F. “Bake” and Della Ridenour Smith, and two brothers, Blan Smith and Benny Joe Smith.

He married Paula Jan Lingle. Jan survives him in death.

He is also survived by a son, Scott Smith and wife, Shelli of Piedmont; daughters, Melanie Statton and husband, Joe of El Reno and Valerie Bramlett of El Reno; grandchildren, Kyle Statton and wife, Shannon, Kristel Graves, Raven Bramlett and Rayce Bramlett; great-grandchildren, Holly Statton and Piper Graves; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steele, Billie June
Funeral services for Billie June Steele are pending with Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Steele died Monday at Norman Regional Hospital. She was born Sept. 9, 1944.

Urton, Robert
Funeral services for Robert A. “Bobby” Urton of Stuart, Fla., formerly of El Reno, are pending with Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Urton died Saturday at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1949, in El Reno.

Wimberly, Sherman Theodore (paid)
Services for Sherman Theodore Wimberly will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with burial in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under direction of Russworm Funeral Home of Watonga.

Mr. Wimberly was born to Walter and Plummie Wimberly on Dec. 31, 1922, in Macon, Ga. He departed this life on July 6, 2006, at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. For the past two years, Sherman lived with his daughter, Merle Valon Jackson, R.N., in Yukon. He received loving health care from his daughter and other family members.

At an early age, Mr. Wimberly’s family moved to El Reno where he attended Booker T. Washington School. He also confessed a hope in Christ and joined Mount Moriah Baptist Church and served as a deacon in the church.

He finished the Sheetrock in the former Mount Moriah Baptist Church. He worked as a Sheetrock finisher, welder and landscaper in various towns and cities in Oklahoma. He later operated a used material yard at 819 N. Admire for over 40 years.

Sherman Wimberly was united in holy matrimony to Blanch Helen Goulsby on March 22, 1942, at the former Mount Moriah Baptist Church. From this union, seven children were born: Merle V. Jackson, Eunice R. Wimberly, LaFranz O. Wimberly Sr., Sherman T. Wimberly Jr., Dale Wimberly, Donna K. Wimberly and Tabilyn M. Onukaogu.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Walter and Plummie Wimberly; a son, Sherman T. Wimberly Jr.; a brother, Walter Wimberly Jr.; and a sister, Dollie Mae Wimberly.

Those left to cherish his memories are four daughters, Merle V. Jackson of Yukon, Eunice R. Wimberly of Oklahoma City, Donna K. Wimberly of Yukon and Tabilyn M. Onukaogu and Simon of Burtonville, Md.; two sons, LaFranz O. Wimberly Sr. of Oklahoma City and Dale Wimberly of El Reno; a sister, Addie Pearl Wimberly of St. Albans, N.Y.; a brother, Herschel W. Wimberly of Easton, Md.; sisters-in-law, Gloria Wimberly of Easton, Md., and Effie Wimberly of Littleton, Colo.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Sherman Wimberly was a humble and friendly person. He greeted everyone with whom he came in contact. He loved and valued people. He centered his life around faith in God, family and his work.
