Attendees will learn the proper technique for fingerprinting children, which differs from that used for adults. They will receive a portrait filled with caricatures that they can take home and complete with their children’s fingerprints. In addition, attendees will learn tips on obtaining DNA samples from children, using items that most likely already are in the home. Guidelines also will be given on creating a customized safety plan for individual families, homes, neighborhoods and children.
