Obituaries for Feb. 10, 2008Becktol, Martha Miss Becktol died Tuesday at her home. She was born Jan. 12, 1952, in El Reno. She attended El Reno Public Schools and was a lifetime El Reno area resident. She is survived by her mother, Rosemary Becktol of the home; sisters, Sandra Johnson and Pat Hanlon, both of El Reno; brothers, James Becktol of El Reno, Edward Becktol of La Grange, Texas, and Robert Becktol of Minco. Montgomery, Elinor Mrs. Montgomery died Wednesday at Parkview Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Winfield, Kan. She moved to Midwest City at a young age. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Midwest City where she was active in the choir and many ladies organizations. She later moved to Fort Cobb and to El Reno in 1998. She is survived by her husband, Gloyd Montgomery of the home; daughters, Lisa Crawford and Becky Foster, both of El Reno, and Kathy Williams of Brunswick, Ga.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Reed, Tony David Ray Tony was born and died on Feb. 3 at Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital. He is survived by his parents, Douglas and Jessica Reed, and a brother, Allik Reed, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Gayle Keeton of Temple, Texas, and Billy Argabright of Gatesville, Texas; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Keeton of Gatesville, Texas; maternal great-great-grandmother, Juanita Bodden of Mound, Texas; paternal grandparents, Rena Price of Lubbock, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Reed of El Reno; paternal great-grandparents, Leslie Nichols of Piedmont and Helen Chamberlain and Delsie Herbert, both of El Reno; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Mattie Lunsford of El Reno. Stephens, Sue Mrs. Stephens died Wednesday at OU Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1943, in Canton. She was a former resident of El Reno, and had also lived in California, Washington, Virginia and Tulsa, and presently in Oklahoma City. She was a veteran serving in the Navy. She attended New Testament Christian Church in Del City. She is survived by a son, Anthony Jones of Broken Arrow; daughters, Michelle Jones of Yukon and Tonya Goombi of Oklahoma City; brothers, Saul Birdshead Jr. of Apache and Fred Birdshead of Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Jenny Curtis, Donna Reynolds and Ruby Jean Rishel, all of El Reno; and 11 grandchildren. |
