Obituaries for May 30, 2007Irvin, James Mr. Irvin died April 26. He was born May 28, 1955, in Chickasha. He is survived by his wife, Sherry of the home; four sisters, Kate Heusman and Nellie Stewart, both of Yukon, Betty Hill of Mustang and Tricia Bartlett of Hollis. Johnson, Odis M. (paid) Mr. Johnson died Monday, May 28, 2007, in Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Calumet. Odis was a longtime Canadian County area resident before moving to Ardmore where he had spent the last two years. He was a retired aircraft mechanic from El Reno Aviation. Mr. Johnson was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Col. James M. and Elgie Cleo (Turpin) Johnson, his wife, Billie June (Asbury) Johnson, and two infant sisters. He is survived by his son, Steven Johnson and wife, Gayle of Ardmore; grandchildren, Janna Davis and husband, Dewayne of Lone Grove and Jaxie Johnston and husband, Derik of Ardmore; great-granddaughter, Gaylen Davis of Lone Grove; brother, Cliff Johnson and wife, Carol of El Reno; sisters, Betty Zucksworth and husband, Jerry of El Reno and Nellie Maine and husband, Ray of Yukon; a special friend, Odessa Hummel of Ardmore; and numerous other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 307 4th Avenue S.E., Ardmore, Okla. 73401. Keller, Frances Marie Francis Marie (Higgins) Spence Keller, 73, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. She was born on a farm near Blanchard on June 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mildred Higgins. Marie moved with her family to California as a young child. As an adult she moved back to Union City and then El Reno for a period of time. She then moved to Chickasha, living there eight years before her death. A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Marie is survived by two sons, Clavin Spence and Michael Spence; a daughter, Geneva Knighten and husband, Johnny; one brother, Robert Higgins and wife, Pauline; numerous stepchildren; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Spence and Arthur Keller, her parents and one sister. Moles, Daniel Travis (paid) He was the second of five children born to John and Dovie Moles on Sept. 29, 1932, in Lamar, Okla. He lived his childhood life in Lamar and was a graduate of Moss High School. Mr. Moles married Betty Lou Bolin on Oct. 14, 1951, and to this union two daughters were born. In 1956 Dan moved to El Reno to be a brakeman for the Rock Island Railroad. In 1965 he moved to McAlester where he worked until his retirement. He was an avid gardener and loved to share his vegetables with others. It was in McAlester that he met and married Jo Marshall and she preceded him in death. Mr. Moles is survived by his older sister, Wanda Lott and husband, Burton of Lamar; a brother, Charlie and wife, Karen of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Priscilla Carder and husband, Kent of El Reno and Rebecca MacArthur and husband, John of Arlington, Texas; stepsons, Glen Marshall and wife, Kathy of McAlester and Michael and wife, Debbie of Bristow; seven grandchildren, Kent Carder of St. Paul, Minn., Brent Carder and wife, Danyail, Lincoln Carder, Lacey Carder and Todd Carder, all of El Reno, John MacArthur of Arlington, Texas, and Jennifer MacArthur of Oklahoma City; eight step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roland and James Bert Moles. Visitation will be held at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home in McAlester on Wednesday, May 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with graveside services to be held on Thursday, May 31 at 2 p.m. in the Tannehill Cemetery in McAlester. Reusser, Edward M. Mr. Reusser died Tuesday at Kindred Hospital in Oklahoma City. |
