Student leaders from as far away as Norman gathered Thursday at El Reno High School to hone their leadership skills.

More than 250 students from Yukon, Mustang, Union City, Piedmont, Canadian Valley Technology Center, Norman North High School and Etta Dale Junior High School joined El Reno High School leaders for the 2007 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America District 3 Leadership Meeting.

FCCLA District Teacher Counselor Peggy Haynes said the leadership organization meets annually for leadership training, workshops and to raise money for issues that are important to its members. The meeting has been held in El Reno for the last two years because it is where Haynes teaches.
