Redlands volleyball drops NavarroBy Byron Beers/Staff Writer Bouncing back from a loss to fourth-ranked University of Arkansas-Fort Smith over the weekend, No. 18 Redlands Community College got a much-needed win over Navarro (Texas) College Monday afternoon. The Cougars closed the regular season by defeating the Bulldogs in four games and improved their overall record to 25-10 under head coach Kristin Vincent. Redlands will next get set for a trip to Ft. Smith for the region tournament, beginning on Friday. “The girls were very flat for today’s match,” Vincent said, following the victory over Navarro. “We’ll have a tough week of practice and prepare for this weekend’s matches at the region tournament.” After dropping the first game against Navarro (28-30), the Cougars recovered quickly with a commanding 30-12 victory in game two. RCC won game three 30-23, before finishing off the Bulldogs by an identical score in the fourth game. |
